ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
First, install the batteries in your motor drive.
- Step 1: Remove the large gear shown in Figure 1 below. You will need a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screw. Then, to remove the gear, you will have to PULL HARD.
- Step 2: Next, remove the large flat head bolt also shown in Figure 1 below.Remove the large gear shown in Figure 1 below. You will need a flat-head screwdriver to remove the screw.
Figure 1 -- Remove the gear and bolt as shown.
- Step 3: Attach the mounting bracket to the motor drive.
- Step 4: Then, attach the motor drive to the telescope mount as shown in Figure 2, securing it with the flat-head bolt. You will notice that the right ascension control rod has a flattened section in the rod. The set screw on the motor presses against this flat section of the control rod. In this way, when the motor turns, it causes the mount to rotate as well.

- Step 5: You're finished. Another view of the assembled motor is shown below. Use the "N / S" switch to set the motor to work in the Northern or Southern Hemisphere, depending on where you live.
